Based on the information released so far, the 16 keyboard seems to have an option to have a numeric keypad on the side.
Seems to have more space available.
Wait for the deep dive, or the release of the devices
Or, use it with a external keyboard if that works better for you.
I would positively weep for joy if I could ever have an embedded number pad back in my life. Hold numlock (or alt or whatever) - pow! pow! pow! - and release. Taxes/Banking/Calculations done!
Look into GitHub - kmonad/kmonad: An advanced keyboard manager it allows you to do exactly that by using layers, without needing any special hardware support.
Thank for that, I took a look at your link, and I think that is beyond my level of knowledge/skill/patience.
Even if I was more adept at this, I don’t understand why the convention of the embedded numberpad was dropped from laptops. It used to be one of the primary features I looked for when buying - wouldn’t buy one without it! But now it seems no one includes it anymore, so I had to give up.
