# Will I see a big improvement in gaming performance with an upgrade from Ryzen 7 7840U to Ryzen AI 9 HX 370?

I game heavily on my Framework 13 thanks to BazziteOS and Proton, but with the most recent titles I started noticing some performance limitations. How much of a boost will I see if I upgrade my mainboard from Ryzen 7 7840U to Ryzen AI 9 HX 370? I have 32GB of RAM, so I don’t think I will be upgrading RAM any time soon.
I know it may not have an easy and quantifiable answer but I was just curious to get your input & experience on this matter. Thank you.

Anecdotally I did find noticeably better gaming performance going from the 7840U to the HX 370, both running Fedora Silverblue.

The Ryzen 9 HX 370 is much more powerful than the Ryzen 7840u. I think it would be a significant upgrade especially with the better integrated graphics.
