Will other regions get the new keyboard colours?

Will other regions outside the USA get the lavender and orange variants of the keyboards? Will blank keyboards be available with the chassis?

I want to know this too. I think the listings on the store are pretty much placeholder for the moment, but would suck if it’s US only.

I also hope the’ll make at least one iso layout with the grey/black/orange color combo.

Another vote for this, if such a thing is … a thing.

Great to see that the Windows key appears to be banished, but the addition of some colours would be greatly appreciated.

Adding onto this it would be very nice and would add a touch of ā€˜personality’ and individualism to your machine… would want the different coloured keyboards.

The situation on the FW16 is equally frustrating with non-US users missing out on the new one-piece keyboard and RGB lighting :frowning: It’d be really neat if the keyboard choices were a little more flexible than the single dropdown.

Hey, woah, slow down. The show of the one piece keyboard was just a heads up to say ā€˜we have this product line coming’. I’m sure that once they get the final push of the FL13 Pro out of development and into production then some more time will be spent on the FL16 offerings they showed. There is only so much work that can be done at a time.

This is the reason I was unhappy with the FW Desktop. They have so much on their plate, and they are only worsening it. I’d prefer they just release what they’re able to worldwide then expand later. Rather than dump a load of products and not be able to reach all markets.

But an official ā€œin time we willā€ would be nice to hear regarding what they’ve already dropped.

Yeah, hopefully for the FW16 owners they’ll take a similar approach to the new one piece unit that they did with the input cover for the FW13, they seem to use a single machined piece that fits both ANSI and ISO layouts with the utilisation of some clever keycap shapes.

If I ever went for a 16 (possible in future) I’d be interested in the single cover and I’m a GB-ISO keyboard user.

No Orange ISO keyboard for the UK = No pre-order.

A French keyboard would look cool in grey or lavander

Hopefully the lack of official comment means it’s in the works and not ready for announcement.

I’m in the US and trying to figure out on the 13 Pro what some of the keyboards look like? it used to show up when we click on it and now like you said might just be a placeholder but I can’t find a picture of the lavender accents anywhere? I found them with the black and graphite, cool. At least I think I found them, that’s the ones with the black middle and the gray outsides and some red keys in there as the framework key and I think maybe a delete from the picture I foundon hey search or am I wrong?

Honestly, I didn’t fully understood your question. What we call the grey keyboard is the grey/red one available here : https://frame.work/fr/fr/products/laptop13pro-keyboard?v=FRANQQ00A1
The lavender one is this one : https://frame.work/fr/fr/products/laptop13pro-keyboard?v=FRANQR00A1
But they are only available as US/English versions.

Does that answer your question ?

Yes and thank you.

I since forgot about this post  but was able to see all the colors on a desktop browser. (Specifically my new Framework laptop 12. ) I was using my phone before and it doesn’t show the images, maybe because of the smallness Factor?

I hope other regions get the choices, who wouldn’t want to pair our bezel (orange) with some (for me to mach thos two) odd keys out? Didn’t read everything but hope you can still buy them through the store though not ideal I guess. The ā€œ*tariffs*ā€ here are making things a pain… L :face_with_rolling_eyes:L

And it shows how much I pay attention, I could have just read the thread; thanks everybody.

Have fun!

I’d certainly pick up a replacement input cover if it had a blank orange and black ANSI keyway tbf
