My first Framework is the 12—sweet. I speced it for a long run time and dual booting, it’s cheap for on the go. Because why not draw something quick whilst taking a break at the skatepark, listening to Bluetooth headphones, then building a roller coaster? And I’m not talking about my abs! ;p

I’d love to look at a 16, but trying to manifest a “legitimate” reason for buying a 12GB Graphics Module (which, of course, I’d need) without just making things up would be a stretch. In fact, the one sitting in my shopping cart now is a 13 chassis paired with the new DeepComputing RISC-V mainboard. Absolutely sweet. I really love Framework’s support for the open-source community, and I hope it keeps growing on both the hardware and software sides. Open-source really lacks support if we don’t have the hardware to back it up. I kind of want a 3D printer now (which would pair nicely with the 12), or better yet, to see if anyone has made some wooden modules. This might be a project I’ll start on. Though wood might not leave tons of room for electronics, I could see a storage module looking pretty good with some striking wood grains; also, pairing nicely with the 12, well all of them. I guess I should be thinking bamboo, hemp, fungus so on to keep it more sustainable? Can we print striking wood grains with a 3D printer? I’m off to search.
So that’s a lit bit about me for now.
