Does anyone know why the AMD AI 7 350 struggles so much to keep a responsive system under maxed out graphical load? I just got my Framework and I’m putting it through its paces to see how it performs. In this case I have a laptop with an Intel Ultra 125H and my Framework with the specs detailed above. They are both on Fedora 43 with Mesa 25.2.4, and in most significant ways are identically configured. But under intense graphical load (Furmark) the Intel not only performs faster, but the overall system stays responsive and you can still open the overview (the feature that’s like exposé on macOS) pretty smoothly in Gnome. On the Framework, the computer becomes a total stutter-fest.
Obviously, I wouldn’t expect to normally use a computer while blasting the GPU. But it nevertheless does not inspire confidence in me about either the hardware or the driver support for it.
