AMD series - Can't Recognize Disk

Anyone having an issue with trying to install Fedora 40 off of a live disk only for it to not be able to “see” your SSD to install to it? The OS recognizes the SSD is there as a 2GB drive, but it doesn’t seem to treat it as writable media it can install itself to. I’ve tried formatting with Linux-friendly filesystems, but no dice.

Honestly I’d love to keep using Linux Mint. What’s the deal behind why this isn’t the best option for the AMD 7040 series boards?

It sounds like an encrypted SSD disk maybe. Can you turn off HW encryption for it?

Yup bitlocker and default windows11 installs will do this also.
