Hey folks
Ubuntu user here. I’m experiencing a random amdgpu crash on my FW 13 Ryzen AI series and wanted to see if there’s anyone else affected.
Some details about my setup:
- FW model: FW 13 Ryzen AI 9 HX 370
- OS: ubuntu 24.04.2 (LTS)
- Kernel: 6.11.0-25-generic
- Other: I’m using an external monitor connected through HDMI
Sypmtoms:
- Image on both monitors freeze
- Computer doesn’t respond to any inputs (KB, mouse, changing TTys (couldn’t try the sysrq-trigger when that happened)
- Sound is sometimes still working
- Only way to get back to working is to restart the computer
This is the crash:

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to navigate or work around this? I believe these issues are the same that are hitting me:
Unfortunately, 6.15 is far from the Kernel I’m using and that is closed, so I was hoping someone was having these issues while having a workaround.
I love the laptop, but I’ve been hitting two amdgpu issues (the other one AMDGPU random crashes on Ryzen AI HX 370 (6.14.4-arch1-1)) and it’s been rough.
Anyways, thanks al!
