Anecdotal Experiences with Factory Seconds B-stock Displays

I’m considering buying a FW13, but I’m trying to save as much money as possible. I’m interested in the Factory Seconds options, but the only one in stock has a B-stock display.

I’m not entirely clear on what exactly the issue looks like. Is there anyone who has actually bought it who can elaborate on how bad of an issue it actually is?

B-stock is the original glossy screen, so you don’t get the matt screen

A-stock units contain a matte display, while B-stock units contain an original display

What more is there to say ??

There are also defects:

A-stock units contain a matte display, while B-stock units contain an original display with slight cosmetic issues: fine lines on the surface that are noticeable from certain angles and/or backlight non-uniformity visible from an angle on a white screen (shown in the GIFs). Aside from the display, the A-stock and B-stock systems match the cosmetic specs we use for new laptops.

I don’t see any problems in the aforementioned GIFS, so it’s difficult for me to evaluate whether the imperfections would bother me. Still, if I can’t see any issues in a picture, it can’t be awful, so maybe this question is not strictly necessary.

It would still be nice to confirm with an actual buyer… *shrugs*

The problem I see as that doubt anyone has both to tell the difference and even only two may not show anything, which will also depend upon use.
So matt or gloss will be the big issue, and of course any slight background lighting issue will be reduce by the matt screen anyway.
