It appears Intel has left undocumented instructions in their CPUs which make it possible to switch the CPU to make changes to microcode… from userspace.

I’m waiting on my batch 2 pre-order, but I will be the first to swap out my intel mainboard with an AMD one when available. Intel sucks, but Framework rocks.
ARM architecture is perfect for this company. It would be nice to actually have a device that can be upgraded with a simple silicon board instead of being forced to buy a completely new device. Also an ARM chip specifically designed for a platform instead of just a generic chip can be a game changer when it comes to coding drivers for a specific operating system.
