because of my hand problems i have trouble using a touchpad unless it has defined buttons. In practice I mostly use a mouse with my Framework Laptop, but I’d really like to swap in a be-buttoned touchpad from another vendor. Is such a thing possible?
Probably not, the Framework touchpad PCB has special circuitry to connect the keyboard and power button, which a random touchpad from elsewhere wouldn’t have. Plus the dimension will probably not match.
You can of course connect an external USB or bluetooth touchpad.
