Can I use a 30 pin Icd with the edp port on my mainboard?

I’m gonna start off by saying, I DONT know a lot about ribbon cables or edp. I’m using a framework mainboard for a personal project, and I have an LCD screen with a 30 pin ribbon cable. I know that the mainboard has a 40 pin edp port. Is there anyway I can make my Icd work with edp? I found this converter online (linked below) but am not sure if it will work or not.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would highly NOT RECOMMEND doing this.

Even if it were possible to physically connect the two connectors, it is very likely that if it isn’t the right display, the pinouts can be completely different. You could easily fry either the motherboard or the eDP doing this. The luckiest you could get is just having the cable burn out.

Unless if you have researched the pinouts and compatibility, I DO NOT RECOMMEND continuing on whatever project you are currently planning with the 30 pin LCD. It likely will not work, and you have a high chance of damaging both your laptop and your screen.
