Can I use CUDA with external GPU on Windows?

Can I use an external CUDA GPU to run CUDA programs with the Framework 16? I want to do some experimention with CUDA and a cheap nvidia GPU, but I don’t have any computers with NVidia GPUs, so I wanted to try plugging in an external GPU enclosure. Will it work on Framework 16 with Windows? Or will it conflict with AMD GPU drivers?
