Hi, I can only find examples of the medium input modules like the numpad being mounted on the right side of the laptop. Does anybody know if they can be mounted on the left side?

Yes. You can have keyboard right, center or left. Trackpad can also follow same. Numpad can be either side. Take a few minutes and watch this new video introducing the Laptop 16. It should answer all your questions.
