I think I tried a live fedora session, per supports request, and it didn’t work on that either.

Yeah that matches what I’m seeing. `BTN_TOOL_RUBBER` for the bottom, `BTN_STYLUS` for the top. I don’t get right click for the top button though; Krita will pan the canvas, which suggests it’s being interpreted as middle click. Neither button seems to send `BTN_STYLUS2`.
Support replied and are escalating the issue internally to find a fix, it seems to be an old KDE/Gnome issue.

However with USI styluses, and possibly MPI as well, it seems there’s an old outstanding issue where remapping does not always work as intended. Gnome essentially “works around” this by not including the option to remap the buttons, while KDE still leaves the UI for configuration exposed.
