Assuming that I was to charge from battery banks that cannot supply the 45Ws of power needed to run the laptop, could I connect multiple such batteries via multiple type-c ports to make up the wattage?

There was a post somewhere else that talked about this, but the laptop will only charge from 1 source at a time. The laptop will accept power at basically any wattage however, even if it isn’t enough for the battery level to go up while using the laptop.
I recommend you buy a 30+w capable battery.
The laptop does not support power sharing between multiple ports at the same time.
