i’m using the 23.40.18.02 Framework version from 22.02.2024 while AMD released 23.40.33.01.
Is there a reason to stay at the 5 month old version?
Are there any specific modifications for the FW16
ya in framework built-in AMD software there is no tuning options a lot , like in the original AMD software have , i saw on youtube when i was googling about temperature issue , on youtube guys would set fan curves in tuning section , while the AMD software comes with framework have nothing in tuning section , not sure why they have done this blunder , they should provide some options to control fan speed via curves .
You are comparing a desktop gpu where the fan is controlled by the gpu itself (and therefore controllable by the gpu driver) to a laptop gpu where the fan is controlled by the embedded controller and shared with other stuff right?
Definitely agree that they should have a tool to mess with the fan curves (you already kind of can but not with an ui and I think not on windows)
