Hey there, I´m not quite sure what the button to the right of the screen brightness buttons is supposed to do, but it´s not doing anything for me. Running Fedora 14 on the low spec amd cpu and the 2.8k matte display. Happy to get any answers

You do mean the one with an open laptop and a screen behind it icon ? on the F9 button 
If you have an external monitor connected it should enable you to switch between them.
Altered your title to reflect it is button to the right of the Brightening button
Hope you weren’t thinking it was a ‘switch to black’ or ‘switch off the display’ option
Hi amoun thanks for the quick reply! That is exactly what I was thinking it was supposed to do 
So thanks for clearyng up. This doesnt seem like a feature I would ever use, since if I do connect a monitor I enjoy using both. Is there any ways to remap this?

I think remapping is an option, try a search of the forum.
I have read such but I’m not sure if it was Windows or Linux, maybe both.
Read on that thread and search more generally.
