okay so i got home
my discover was already broken before and was being weird (after a update like three weeks ago)
so i updated through the konsole, i installed the kernel update and now
1- brightness is weird if i set it to 98% it works fine
if i set it to 99% the screen turns really dark, almost like it was at 1%
if i set it to 100% the screen turns to like 5%
???
2- all the usb ports on my laptop stopped working suddenly until i restarted a few times
(this has happend before out of nowhere a few times but only on one side)
3- discover works for some reason now.
what the #### is wrong with my fedora KDE installation? anyone knows? can anyone help?
is this a framework only issue?
i also force updated my bios to try to fix it but it did nothing
I do not have help to offer, but I had the same problem after an update this morning. I am running Fedora 44 KDE, and 99 and 100% brightness are functionally unusable suddenly.
I am still running Kernel Linux 7.1.5-201.fc44.x86_64
Fedora is very much a bleeding edge distro. KDE specially with Wayland/Plasma having caused multiple issues since installing it when I got my Laptop about 6+ months ago. Multiple Kernels and system file changes had caused all kinds of small problems and odd behaviors. I have had a dozen GUI freezes that required a hard reboot via the power button. It actually just has come fairly good. I was finally able to run the Laptop for more then 3 days. Even windows gave you longer then that.
Yes, you should be able to choose a previous Kernel during boot-up. I had to do this at least 3 times since running the distro.
