Filtration for Desktop

I was wondering if anyone is adding a Dust Filter for their Desktop setup like a 120mm magnetic dust filter for their Computer’s Cooler/PSU fan. If so which design or model have u chosen. I just want to keep this thing pristine inside - dust and heat are the killer of these boards. Thanks

I’d be curious to find out about this too!

Me too!

This is a big deal to me. I currently have 2 desktops with positive pressure designs and good input filters – and I won’t buy any desktop that won’t let me set it up that way (or better yet, come set up like that).

What kind of input filters do you use?

The ones that came with the case, installed by Puget Systems.

So if Framework won’t be doing that, I’ll be very interested in seeing what people can suggest for a new Desktop.

Edit: they are mesh. I’d be a little worried about air flow with a foam filter. The world is a better place if your case and PC are designed for positive pressure and air filters and you can purchase knowing that air flow and temperatures will be ok. Otherwise I’ll wait and see what results people report. And of course if the Framework case isn’t positive pressure to start with then the whole thing is an abort.
