Framework 13 AMD original power adapter is insufficient

Hi @pierce, thanks for the recommendation. I haven’t had any great experiences before limiting the charging capacities of devices with lithium batteries. For some reason, my perception is that it does not help so much (at least to compensate for the annoyance that when you want to use the laptop unplugged you have 20% less battery). Also, I don’t feel happy using the main battery as a big capacitor, but maybe you are right, and it’s not a big deal. Anyway, I didn’t want to take the risk. I bought a 100w power adapter, and now everything is working great. No more notifications that there is not enough juice… Thank you all for your time, I always learn a lot in these exchanges…

PD: I received the notification again, continue testing… now I really don’t think that I’m saturating the power adapter…

Interesting. Does sensors agree that you have 100W nominally available? I.e., its output for me has an entry showing a 20V, 5A source:

ucsi_source_psy_USBC000:002-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
in0: 20.00 V (min = +5.00 V, max = +0.40 V)
curr1: 5.00 A (max = +3.56 A)

Hi @Travis_Snoozy, yes, it seems that way:

The system has definitely improved, the notification has only appeared once since I put in the new power supply. I only put the note in case I was claiming victory ahead of time… I’ll tell you later if it appears again and if I detect something strange, but in general the system is working well, I can live with that…
