FrameWork 13 issue with VLC

Hi

I recently purchased a framework 13 (intel 13, 32 GB…)… I am very happy with the modularity and repairability…

I have installed Windows 11 Pro and all the necessary software for daily work, so far no problems.

But when I try to play video.mpg with vlc I can’t see it. When I open that same video from another computer with the same version of VLC it plays without problems.

Can somebody help me? I get the feeling that it must be something general.

I’m not an expert on this topic but a fast search on the web shows that this might be a library issue.
As a matter of investigation, can you attempt to view the file using another tool on Windows 11? It could also be an issue with the file and this might help diagnosis.

You probably don’t have the required codecs, there are several ways to get them… I just take the fastest route and install ffmpeg

Hi

I finally found the solution. The VLC 2.0 version plays those videos but the latest one does not play them… it is something very curious.
