Unplugging card reader restores wifi

There are known interference issues between USB 3.0 and 2.4 GHz Wifi (not Framework specific; use your search engine to learn more). Perhaps that’s what you are seeing here? Here are some of the things that I would try:

  • Check if your problem occurs with 5.0 GHz wifi networks or only with 2.4 GHz.
  • Try using a different/longer cable for the SD card reader.
  • Move the Framework USB-A adapter around. If I remember correctly, the Wifi card is right next to the bottom-right expansion slot – if that’s where your USB-A adapter was, maybe move it to a different slot?
