Framework 13 with VMWare Workstation

Good afternoon,

I recently purchased a framework 13 (intel 13, 32 GB…)… I am very happy with the modularity and repairability…

I have installed Windows 11 Pro and all the necessary software for daily work, so far no problems.

But when I try to virtualize a machine with vmware workstation 17.5, I find that the performance is so low that it is not usable. Does this happen to anyone else? Additionally, it doesn’t let me enable Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-v/RVI even though it is activated in the Bios/EFI.

Really not a Windows pro, but did you check that Microsoft’s own virtualization technology is disabled, so AMD-v is not occupied and can be used by vmWare?

If you disable the credential guard, fingerprint access stops working… or when I disable it I lose the acces with my fingerprint.

But I can run de VMWare machines with enable Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-v/RVI and it improve the performance.
