Reporting Issues

To report issues we have created a public issue tracker on github. GitHub · Where software is built We hope that this is a better way to track issues with community involvement moving forward as we have found it difficult to both gather relevant information about issues people are reporting on the forums, and track the issues through their lifecycle in a transparent way.
If you do experience an issue with the update that is related to your system firmware, please post as complete a description as you can, including relevant system information, and external peripherals. Please note that we do not currently have a SLA for responding to issues on github, but we will be reviewing them through the bios release process, and will review them for future updates as well.

If you have an issue regarding hardware, broken devices, returns, etc, this is not the place, please contact support.

Known Issues

  • Only 1.5A profile is supported on USB type C, 3A will come later.

I was testing 3.03 while it was in beta. Do I need to do anything special to upgrade from beta to stable?

I downloaded the new version, but it seems to be identical to the beta version.

(CRC32: 25E5A875
MD5: 7E3FFECDC1B958B2D6E0B2DD97FEB9E6

I think that is the approach FW take.
Put it out as BETA first, let people who feel like it try it out.
If it judged OK to be fully released, they mark the same software as stable, without changing it.
If they did change anything, the image with those changes would need to start the process again, ALPHA->BETA->STABLE.
It seems a pretty sensible approach to me.

Firmware update notification just popped up in CachyOS - nifty. I just started the update. I have an Intel SSD - 660P 2TB that would disappear after reboot. I don’t believe it has any encryption, but maybe it’ll fix that too. It happens on another Ryzen AI MAX 395 machine I have too. Can confirm widescreen looks fine now - not that I really cared too much about the BIOS/EFI being stretched. Edit: Can confirm it did NOT fix the 660p not showing up after rebooting.

Updated mine following the linux instructions without issue.

Since the release SHA256 matches the beta SHA256 I’m assuming Desktop Issue - New 3 amp power profile does not work. [3.03 BETA Bios] · Issue #111 · FrameworkComputer/SoftwareFirmwareIssueTracker · GitHub was not yet addressed?

Trying to update from within a proxmox installation 9.01 with kernel 6.17.1-1-pve and I get “Warning: UEFI ESP partition not detected or configured” . Any ideas why?

Ok found the problem, needed to install udisks2. Discard my question
