Set charge limit to 100, disable battery extender, set charge limit back to your desirable level. Save and reboot for each step
Thanks for the suggestions, what ended up working was clearing my CMOS/resetting BIOS, then waiting, then resetting the charge limit and battery extender settings to my desired value. I then waited like 15 minutes and I tested with the charger and it works now.
After the firmware update, it no longer boots with a dock plugged in. (WD19 dock).
You have to boot up the laptop first, then plug in the dock.
Try to unplug any HID device (KB, Mouse etc) from the dock and see if it boots
I have this same issue at this point. Basically hangs on running the initial memtest if its connected to my screen via USB-C.
Happened after upgrade to 3.18, 3.17 was fine.
For me:
Framework Laptop 13 Ryzen 7040
BIOS 3.18 - hangs before even showing bios when connected to USB dock, boots without dock
downgrading to 3.17 make it fully work with the usb dock
Hi is this BIOS issue ( re: docks/ +/- KVM connected to the 7040 series via HDMI/ USB A and now apparently USB c) being worked upon. If yes, i hope there will be a mention on the changes to the 2 versions.
