This kind-of works with the Tuxedocomputers Stellaris gen3 that I have BUT they use Tongfang motherboard and all components. And Tongfang is a huge corporation. So by buying from somebody like System76 or Tuxedocomputers you’d be buying from some kind of good ol’ large corp.
I wanted to change my keyboard from ISO to ANSI and it simply doesn’t exist. The seller of the laptop said no, my local repairman said no, even a similar brand said no. The parts don’t exist.
Edit: Schenker, XMG, CyberPowerPC, System76 all use either Clevo or Tongfang chassis. Some use both.
Edit2: After looking into this model from Juno Computers I can see that hinges are somewhat similar in design from my Stellaris (ok, this is a stretch): Saturn 15" v5 - Juno Computers UK - Linux Laptops
So this could be from Tongfang too, but not sure.
Mine: Stellaris 15 - 15.6'' WQHD IPS + AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, Intel Core i7-11800H + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 + 2x M.2 NVMe SSD + max. 64GB RAM - TUXEDO Stellaris 15 - Gen3 (Archived) - TUXEDO Computers
If you look at this XMG model then it looks really like a revamped version of mine (newer generation): https://www.xmg.gg/en/xmg-neo-15/
It’s as if those people designed the same laptop… how does this happen… It’s just a brand.
