Will Framework Laptop 12 have new mainboard as AMD, Intel VT-x with EPT (Extended Page Tables) or AMD-V with RVI. Nvidia?
I’m sure the plan is to eventually have additional mainboards. What they will be is not known at this point. I think they are still finishing up pre-orders for the initial Framework 12, and Framework never reveals future releases until they are nearly ready to go. So we don’t and probably won’t know what’s coming next for the FW 12 for a while.

I do wishes they releases Framework Laptop 12 at beginning. Now, i owned 2 Framework Laptop 13 which is very inconvenient for me in college life. I am trying not owned many laptops in my life. I am wishes to be minimalist.
Second hand selling can be your solution to reduce devices

I ordered a Framework 12 and it was shipped out the next business day. I think it’s safe to say the preorders are done.

Why do you own two of them? I thought gou could just replace the motherboard if you needed an upgrade.
That’s good to know. I saw someone the other day saying they canceled their pre-order, but they must have meant previously.

My original goal was the touchscreen version of Framework Laptops with a powerful mainboard for my gaming, I also a traveller. I bought the first Framework Laptop 13 due my first buy laptop of Lenovo P51 went to heaven as 8 years of used. I regret to have the second Framework Laptop 13. Hoping Framework Laptop 12 become my dream come true as super portable PC-Table version with longer batteries life.
Battery life is better on the Framework 12. Single channel RAM, DDR5. The FW 12 has great suspend drainage. I am seeing a loss of ~2% over 3 hours of standby on Arch. It does feel like it has much better battery performance as a result.

Define portable.
I have a portable power station(around 5kg and around 260-270 Wh), 2 solar panels and a car to move more than half a ton (kg) of equipment if I wanted for some reason.
