as said before, the “standalone” option was not available until BIOS upgraded to 3.17.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- I was unable to get the mainboard to POST and show video (via HDMI) until the HDMI expansion was attached to the TOP slot (on either side, opposite power).
I wanted to include some context around firmware upgrade process for 11th Gen boards, starting with BIOS 3.02:
- get 3.17 [RESPONDED] 11th Gen Intel Core BIOS 3.17 Release
- get 3.20 Framework Laptop BIOS and Driver Releases (11th Gen Intel® Core™)
- follow the same described steps above (use platform.ini file from firmware upgrade “.exe” and set Flag=1 to ignore battery charge – bc you don’t have the battery connected)
- as stated before, the “standalone” option did not appear until firmware was upgraded to 3.17
- upgrade to 3.10 from 3.02 worked fine, once HDMI expansion was connected to top right, power in top left.
