HDMI dies every 30 minutes playing video

When I’m playing full-screen video from streaming services (like Netflix, or BBC IPlayer catchup) the HDMI output to the TV disconnects every 30 minutes. This happens with both the HDMI adapter, and an external USBC hub that has HDMI, USBC and USB-A. So it’s not localised to the Framework HDMI adapter, but seems to affect other HDMI adapters.

The Framework one drops the connection totally. The external USBC hub just drops it for a few seconds, then reconnects.

It doesn’t happen when just showing the desktop.

Any ideas? Power management?

How accurate is the 30 minutes?
I.e. From the last key press to the TV disconnect. Is it exactly 30 minutes to the second, or is it sometimes 25 mins, sometimes 35 mins?
The reason I am asking, is that if it is 30 minutes exactly, it is probably due to some timeout, power save features. If the time varies, it is probably more something else, like a driver bug, or a better HDMI cable needed.
