Hinge plate has become detached

While replacing the hinges on my framework laptop I noticed the plate the hinge screws on to had come away from the lid:

So now when I open the laptop, I guess the hinge is pressing against the back of the screen.

Does someone have some advice on what I should do about this? Probably gluing is the best option, but I’m not sure what kind of glue to use.

I’d go for 2 part epoxy, one that is advertised as primarily for metal.
Though, a new lid might be best.

How is that even possible in the first place? Was the plate only glued to the lid?

Thanks all, I think I’ll contact framework for a warranty repair as I think it must be a manufacturer’s fault.
