The built-in keyboard only works in Windows - not in Ubuntu (Noble). It also doesn’t work in GRUB.
External USB keyboards work fine.
Can anyone make any suggestions?
Thanks

If you haven’t already, check the internal keyboard connectors & cable. For the connectors, check that they visually look undamaged, cables are fully inserted, and the locking latches are closed. For the cables, check that there are no creases / bends, especially at corners where the cable turns. Creases can break the internal wires.
I disconnected and reconnected the various connectors and it worked… but then after a restart it stopped working in Windows. I am now more convinced that it’s the keyboard or the connectors rather than a software problem.
I can’t fully remove the keyboard end of the touchpad connector as it appears to be glued down…
Is there anything further I can do in the way of triage / fixing or is it a case of returning the keyboard?
As long as it visually looks to be fully inserted, then I wouldn’t try to remove it.
I’d visually inspect the main cable for creases / bends, particularly where the cable turns. Other people have had a bend or tear cause a wire break. This can cause it to intermittently work & stop working due to the wire’s broken ends barely touching.
Then I think it’s down to contacting support for advice.
