Does anyone happen to have an extra input cover cable or know where to source one?
TL;DR I might have damaged my input cover cable but the market place doesn’t sell replacement for it and I am reluctant to get a brand new input cover. I am hoping that someone either knows where to get a third-party replacement or happens to have an old functioning input cover from their old input cover that they don’t need.
After some back and forward with the Framework Support, we narrowed down an issue I was having with my power button where it would seem it’s constantly being pressed down despite no physical button input to be likely caused by a damaged input cover cable. (Framework engineer identified a couple thing white lines on the cable that seemed to be leftover mark from it being bent in the wrong way. Considering that I also occasionally have keyboard and touchpad connection issue, the theory of the cable being damaged seems the most plausible.)
Anyway, after learning that my input cover cable is damaged, I tried to look one up on the framework market place which unfortunately is not an option. Framework recommends me to buy an entirely new input cover but considering it costs at least 84 usd and that most of my input cover is still functioning, I am hoping to find another way to replace the input cover cable.
I also find it weird that Framework doesn’t sell the input cover cable considering that the cable is double ended and they sell other cables like the display connector cable.
