Internal-display not receiving input

I got a Framework Laptop 13 AMD a week ago, today, I was using it, I put it in my bag and when I turned it on, the internal display was not receiving an input, the display was on, but it was blank. The problem I found was that the display cable on the display side was not aligned correctly. To fix this:

  1. Remove bezel

  2. Unscrew display from cover (4 screws in the corners)

  3. Pull display off of cover (there is a light adhesive holding the display cable in place, this must be pulled off)

  4. On the other side of the display there is the input for the display cable. The input is protected by some tape, the tape is attached to a very flexible rubbery covering around the display, to prevent damaging the covering carefully remove the tape

  5. Lift the lock on the display input

  6. Unplug display cable

  7. Plug display cable back in (there are slight margins on either side of the plug that can cause the cable to be at an angle, make sure the cable is straight)

  8. Put the tape back on (may not be as sticky)

  9. Put display back on cover, making sure to place the adhesive part of display cable back in the right spot and screw in

  10. Place bezel back on

Gist of it is that the edp cable part that plugs into the display wasn’t fully aligned and caused problems, to fix this, one must go behind the display and realign the cable.
