Hi. I am currently temporarily located in India, and as such, finding 5600MHz memory is difficult. I am able to get my hands on 4800MHz RAM, and I know it isn’t recommended, but apart from slightly slower memory, is there any noticeable difference? Is boot concern legitimate? Thanks
I do have a 16gb stick of micron 4800 cl40 (got it really cheap and wanted to test if slower memory uses less power, it doesn’t), it works but 4800 seriously kneecaps the igpu for basically no advantage.
Apart from it being slower, if it works it works. Problem seems to be bigger with 5200 which has a lot of trouble even booting at all (and not just on the framework, a few other phoenix based platforms report it too)
