Is there a way to reduce the range of volume?

I’m currently using Windows 11 on an AMD Framework 13. I never set the volume control above 20% (audio starts clipping and sounding terrible) and often find 2% too loud. Is there a way to compress the range so I get more useful volume resolution?

Bumping this in the hopes that someone knows how to reduce the maximum volume. Single ticks of the volume control remain huge, and I’ve still never used the laptop above 20%. It would be super great if I could (ideally in the embedded controller, transparent to whatever OS is running) dramatically reduce the drive strength at maximum volume.

The partial schematic includes close to nothing about the ALC295 codec and any amplifier that may be around it or built in to it. Is more information available somewhere?
