Issues/Gimmicks after Enabling S3 Sleep

Using the PlatformAoAcOverride key in Registry Editor, I have managed to enable S3 sleep on my Framework 16. S3 sleep has been working well, but it has led to some annoying consequences.

When trying to put my machine to sleep via the start menu, there is no longer an option for sleeping the device. The only options are Lock, Shut Down, and Restart.
I tried going further and looking into Control Panel for an option to put the sleep button back on the start menu, but it seems there is no longer a sleep button that can be enabled. The actions for “When I press the power button” and “When I press the sleep button” also used to be sleep but since enabling S3 sleep, they are now blank.

Is there anyway to get back the sleep button in the start menu and control panel without having to go back to using S0 sleep?

I have never experienced this before when enabling S3 on Windows.

Just to be sure, but you are running Windows 11 right? Windows 10 is not compatible with the 16. As far as I know Windows 10 is only compatible with the 11th Gen Intel Mainboard.

If you are on 11, I would maybe try installing the Framework driver pack again. Perhaps a refresh of the chipset driver will rejog the power options. In general, Sleep should not disappear because you activated S3.

As a side note, I used to be a big fan of S3. But I have since found that S0 network disconnected is just more stable and gives the added benefit of automatically hibernating after the battery threshold (by default defined as 5%) is reached. You can change this threshold such that you can basically define how long the device will suspend before hibernating.
