Hey i am i clumsy idiot and i accidentally put usb c in my usb a port and shorted something. when i turned my computer back on it was considerably slower but, i read on another forum for another laptop to just reseat the battery cable. it worked and everything seems completely fine. i don’t have a question, i am just leaving this for the next guy who does this.

The USB-C ports all have current limiting circuits to prevent something like this from causing damage to your system.
If you enter a condition where the laptop is on min speed after something like this happening, power it off, unplug any chargers and wait 40 seconds before powering it on again.
