KVM issues with DP

There seems a bug in the DP module or BIOS firmware.
I have a ATEN CS1924 KVM switch which connects to the DP module.

The Display works, but as soon as I change to a different PC an back, the port seems to get into a strange state. The KVM only switches for a short time, beeps and switches back.
Unplugging the DP module, switching the the KVM and then inserting the DP module works.
Also plugging in the DP module, then the DP cable work.

There seems to be some problem with the handshakes. The KVM switch does some monitor simulation on the inputs not used, so the PC does not see a unplugging event.

Hi.

Is the problem any better if you plug the KVM into Slot 1 or slot 4 ?
I am finding Slot 1, 4 to be more reliable than Slots 2, 3, 5, 6, but I don’t know why yet.

Ports 3, 5 and 6 don’t support display out. Only ports 1, 2, and 4 support display out.

The problem is with all ports. Quite annoying TBH

This drives me nuts.
Now I have a OLED screen that should not be on all the time. Now I have to pull the display port 10 times a day. THIS DRIVES ME NUTS

Can I sent a KVM to the devs ?
It does not behave to STANDARDS

Replying to this slightly old post.

I just had a similar issue with my Framework 16 and an Aten CS782DP KVM.
It would not connect an external DP display with the module in any of ports 1, 2 or 4.
Once or twice I did get it to work, but it stopped again after I switched the KVM.

Eventually I updated the firmware on the KVM itself, and ever since then it has worked perfectly.

Aten have very clear instructions (and a video) on their website, at least for my CS782DP.
