Hi,
It happend to me already multiple times that I am working with my laptop, then stopping for few minutes, laptop goes to sleep, and then when I try to start working again I turn the screen on and when I unlock the laptop I notice that all the programs have been closed, as if the laptop restarted.
The browser that was open indeed asks me to restore the web pages that were open before this event occurred.
My laptop:
Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen 7040Series), Processor AMD Ryzen 5 7640U, with Windows 11 Home, Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631, the Batch was #2.
Did someone experienced something similar?
Windows sometimes applies updates etc. and for that goes out of sleep mode to do so.
And everyone knows Windows loves to reboot to apply updates …
Do you think this is the problem? It never happened to me with other laptops…
Moreover it happened multiple times in like 5 days…
Can´t say. I stopped using windows so didn’t test it on my FW16.
Eventually someone else will chime in. Check also on the others having had issues with their laptops restarting while in sleep.
Could be the same as this thread over here: Laptop shuts down during sleep
I relly hope I dont have to send my laptop back! I bought FW exactly not to have these kind of problems.
Moreover, my fingerprint driver is working fine…
Windows 11’s default is to use S0 connected standby. This means updates and other things will try to update if connected to power.
You should switch to S0 disconnected standby as the solution. Also go into device manage and under your wifi network adapter, under the power tab in properties ensure that the wifi card is not allowed to wake the device. These two things should keep your laptop sleeping or hibernating when you tell it to.
