While I’m waiting to hear back from Framework, I’m eager to see if anyone has gotten a response from framework about exhanging their model for a faster model.
RAM prices crazy yes. I already installed Windows on this SSD hard drive, so I’d like to exchange part of the package. Not the end of the world if they would prefer a full return. I want to get the fastest laptop 13 with the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, and the faster 2.8k display.
Anyone have experience with Framework and doing something like this? What did you do?

When did you purchase your original computer, and where are you based? Here in the UK we have something called Distance Selling obligations, which I think might affect FW as they operate in our market. This requires things like a cooling-off period where a return must be permitted, though I think the timeframe is quite short.
Are you looking to exercise a legal right, or are you asking for FW to implement a buyback programme? I don’t disagree with the latter - it could be part of a FW-backed refurbishment programme, and could be another strand to their environmental/recycling approach.
No, no kind of legal stuff. I was just excited to get that return and new laptop going. Framework customer service was terrific. Took a day to get back to me. I returned the whole laptop, and bought a new one. Pretty straight forward, and it’s ongoing. So far so good.
