Mint vs Fedora for an uninitiated Linux user

I’m currently in the analysis paralysis phase of trying to figure out which Linux distro to install on my FW13 AMD when it arrives next week. I’ve resurrected an old chronically crashing Lenovo laptop by removing Windows11 (part of the insider program) and clean installs of Linux. Very new to all of this yet after lots of searching have managed to fix some conflicts (most recently a usbcore.autosuspend issue). Not a gamer. Purely menial tasks and citrix access for work. LibreWriter and Calc will suffice for office type programs. Firefox and/or Brave for web browser. After playing with Mint, Bluefin, and currently Fedora, my plan was to install Fedora on the new FW. But now, bazzite?!? After reading your post, I’m still at a loss though as to which one to install re: Fedora 40 vs Bazzite. My use scenario is that this FW is essentially the last laptop I’m buying for 10+ years. I’ve repaired (painfully) prior laptops, smartphones, etc. Have built several desktop PCs and two gaming PCs. Always just went with Windows. Sort of just commenting, but mainly thanks for your excellent comment to the OP’s original question.
