What does everyone think of the possibility of new io modules with multiple ports, say 2 usb c or usb a + usb c or something like that. I personally feel the thunderbolt bandwidth is kind of wasted on just 1 port modules

Hi! This has been extensively discussed at length in several other posts. I recommend a search and you’ll find the great discussion on this topic. But a lot of multiport options come down to not being able to fit the circuitry needed to make both ports functional in the expansion slots.

Dual USB-C fits mechanically but not electronically with all of the specifications still supported, USB-C and USB-A doesn’t fit mechanically but electronically.
