Here is my review of the Framework Laptop 13. It covers its assembly, performance, cost, modularity, battery life, support, community engagement, and overall suitability for tech enthusiasts.
I’d love to hear opinions and feedback if anyone has any.

Honestly, great review. However, you did not show how they added new hinges to the Marketplace that are more sturdy in general.
@Kevin_Tran You’ll be happy to know I revised the article and included that, among a few other things. Thanks for the tip.

Did a bit of an update to the article referencing new changes and talking about my experience switching keyboards.

Since this continues to get clicks I figure I may as well mention that the link has changed due to a site restructuring.

The link has once again changed.
I did some further updates recently to reflect it now being two years since I received my laptop.
Thank you for the review.
One thing the review mentions - criticises - is BIOSes taking a while to arrive in beta and then getting stuck in beta. You have in mind BIOS for the Intel models, I think. Well, at present, a BIOS for the AMD machines is in beta-hell - the BIOS was awaited, released as a beta, then pulled - and that BIOS is to fix a problem with (among other things) batteries going bad. And the workaround in the meantime is . . to limit one’s battery charge threshold to 60%. Dire - though Framework has extended the warranty on the laptops at issue (but that is in case the batteries . . fail).

Yikes. Hadn’t even taken note of that. Not sure how I missed it as a frequent in the community and this forum.
They really need to take some sort of action and begin being proactive rather then reactive regarding their software support. This really isn’t good enough for a company operating at the scale of Framework, even keeping in mind their quick growth.
