Not booting/black screen

Hi all,

I’ve had my 12th gen for a couple of years and have experienced a few issues with hard freezes that were overcome with reset of the RTC. In the past few months I had some flickering bars of the display during bootup but it always booted up no problem. I left it alone. Today it didn’t complete the boot. It was hard to see the BIOS boot menu due to the display flickering but it failed to load a boot device.
I’ve attempted the RTC reset again which didnt help - now no flicker but just a blank black screen. I also tried resetting the main board which involved disconnecting the battery and I compounded the problem by bending the pins :upside_down_face:. After a little tinkering I was able to bend them back and I think the battery is fully connected. Still no boot. Any ideas on what to try next? I have a USB I can boot from but that doesnt seem ljke the issue. Replace the RTC altogether?

Back in my office. Tried booting from USB and no luck. Still just a black screen. The mainboard is getting power, but it seems like a hardware issue.
