P key flaky

The P key on my framework 13 has become flaky. Sometimes it just works and sometimes it does not respond at all. I tried reseating both the motherboard connector and the connectors on the input cover, but the issue persists.

Is there a set of pins I can inspect for damage? Everything looks fine but I’m especially concerned about the connector on the mainboard given that replacing it would require difficult soldering or a new mainboard.

If the issue is only with the P key, it is much more likely that the key itself is failing rather than the motherboard, or the entire keyboard. It is possible that the sensor under the key is failing, or something got under the keys (don’t recommend removing the keycap as it may break). You can try spraying some compressed air under the P key and see if that resolves the issue.

If you are still in the warranty period, file a support ticket as soon as possible and try to request a keyboard replacement.

It was both the P, -, and 0 keys. I tried cleaning with compressed air, slightly lifting the keycaps, etc, but could not resolve the flakiness. I ended up replacing the keyboard and have not had problems since then, fortunately.
