Paying double VAT :( Shipping and billing to EU country, then exporting to non-EU

I’m interested in shipping Framework ot Germany (using EU-country issued payment method). Ultimate destination is, however, another country outside of EU.

I’ve seen topics about business VAT refund, which is different. I have to get my invoice export stamped at German customs (and then once again import stampled by Swiss customs and pay another import VAT). I’d like to avoid paying 2x european VAT.

I just wated to double check that German VAT would be refunded by framework, after providing them with border-stamped export paperwork (presumably just border stamped VAT invoice).

Thank you.
update: I was planning on picking it up physically => not a freight forwarding! Too bad the comments are locked based on inaccurate assumption :frowning:

Framework does not currently ship to Switzerland. Freight-forwarding which is what you are talking about here amounts to, is forbidden on these forums. Framework has no obligation to repay the VAT you paid in Germany, AND furthermore should you need warranty or RMA services otherwise, they will need to originate and ship to a German address.

I can understand how this is frustrating, and am sorry that the answer is not different. Framework is trying to become available in as many places as possible, but these things are complicated and take time. If you require any additional information on this please contact Framework support directly.
