PCIe Slot Accessibility

I bought a PCIe 1x to 2x USB-A and 2x USB-C – Figured this wouldn’t be a problem – The system has the port. Get the card, and open up the system, only to find out that the back of that PCIe slot doesn’t actually go anywhere. Are people 3D printing a back face that makes the slot accessible? The card itself has a full height and half height adaptor so it should work in what ever. But I can’t install it as is. Any help would be great. I really do need a few more USB-A and USB-C ports on the back of the system.

Not to be rude, but it does say not exposed on default case.

So in general if you want to use it exposed then you’d need to use any other normal ITX case.

What most users on the forums that are using it are doing is using anything internal. Aka take off the slot bracket and just install it, something like storage. Or they are using it for Oculink in which case they still remove the slot bracket, but make a hole in the side of the case for the oculink cable to come out.

If you do make a hole in the case, just make sure to remove any electronics before you cut any metal to keep any shards from shorting anything later.

Also I really recommend a hub if all you need is more ports, if you want USB A ports, this is my favorite because you can physical disable the device: Amazon.com: SABRENT 4 Port USB 2.0 Data Hub with Individual LED lit Power Switches [Charging NOT Supported] for Mac & PC (HB-UMLS) : Electronics (great for microphones and webcams). There is also a version where you can add supplemental power.

It would be cool if someone made a 3d print mod, but it would still involve removing all the electronics to cut the holes. This is why I personally did not buy the case, even though it is really cool, nice, and compact.

Edit: I also would like some more usb ports  but I always do
