Just to be sure, because those thing can be misleading. So the board have a PCIe x4 slot. Is the slot x4 in speed too? because they can be 2 different things. Thanks you.

I think it is indeed a electrically x4 slot.
There were comments about Framework not using like a open-back slot, among other things. Framework’s official response is that the open-back slots isnt exactly to the spec (of PCIe 4.0), and that they want their product to be reliable and not fail.
Which I believe is true, I don’t think anyone has a PCIe 4.0 x4 open back slot, but they have 3.0 certified x4 open backs. What’s the difference? I don’t know. But probably redesigned fingers.
