How well does Windows 11 run from the expansion card drives? I would like to run a couple of games from the drive and Linux on the main drive.
If you search through the forum you’ll see people’s experience with running windows on expansion cards. I believe the general experience was good though.
It’s not easy to install on it, because the Windows installer sees it an an external drive. Also there have been reports of the expansion card overheating, which crashes the system.
Generally not something I’d really recommend, but you can make it work.

Obviously performance will be a bit down, but unless you are stock broker or stressed on a real time game I shouldn’t think you’ll notice much.
You don’t say want config you are adding it too
