How do I get it to stop?

The power use is minimal. So much more goes to the screen and everything else.

But you can turn it off if you wish with the ectool.

sudo ectool led power off

And there is supposed to be an option for dimming it in the bios.

So I just tried this and seem to have no ectools installed, also found out something, this is most likely linked to the error Iā€™m getting of no EC ID detected during boot up

But also messing with it seems to void warranty, so I will not do anything.
